Conflict Transformation
2022
Conference Message
This year’s theme is “Maximize Conflict Transformation.” Some people approach “conflict” as an event, issue, or hidden issue that we must resolve or manage. However, conflict is not simply something to overcome. This year’s conference combines the concept of “conflict” with transformation. We propose that conflict is “normal in human relationships, and conflict is a motor of change. At the same time, transformation provides a clear and important vision because it brings into focus the horizon toward which we journey – the building of healthy relationships and communities, locally and globally.” (Lederach)
